Aleksej Pokusevski Suffers Concussion, Ruled OUT For Monday’s Game vs. Heat

Thunder Head Coach Mark Diagneault announced on Sunday that Aleksej Pokusevski has entered the NBA’s concussion protocol after suffering a concussion in Sunday’s practice. Pokusevski’s injury took place in the team’s live drills, where he collided with another Thunder player, resulting in the concussion.

Pokusevski, the 19-year-old forward, has averaged 1.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks in 16 minutes a game, through five games.

Poku will miss Monday’s matchup against the Miami Heat indefinately, and it is unclear he will be able to play in Wednesday’s game vs. the Pelicans.

Expect to see forwards Isaiah Roby and Justin Jackson fill the void in Poku’s minutes while he’s placed on the league’s protocol.
