The Oklahoma City Blue unveiled their 2020-21 regular season schedule via Twitter Wednesday afternoon.
The season schedule kicks off against the Salt Lake City Stars on February 11, with the highly coveted 10:30 CST spot. For then on they will go onto face the rest of their 15-game schedule spanning until March 6, when they cap their regular season campaign off against the Santa Cruz Warriors.
A common theme that you may discover from the Blue’s 15-game schedule is the abundance of morning to midday games spread throughout the year. This coat of rise and shine games are due to the G-League’s season being played in “the bubble” in Disneyland’s ESPN World Wide Sports Complex, resulting in multiple matchups being played all throughout the day.
The games will shared across three different television networks (NBA TV, ESPN U, ESPN +), and will include two free games on the streaming platform Twitch.
The Blue will have the opportunity to go toe-to-toe with the G-Leagues new select team, the G-League Ignite, on February 12. This roster is composed of some of the most promising young prospects in the 2021 NBA Draft, in addition to bright players from last years G-League season. Headlining the Ignite’s roster are 18-year-old guard Jalen Green and 18-year-old forward Jonathon Kuminga, who are both seen as top prospects in the upcoming class.
This jam packed schedule give Blue’s players a chance to prove their worth to the main Thunder roster, as well as the other 29 franchises across the NBA.
Expect to see two-way players Josh Hall and Moses Brown playing a big role in the bubble, and don’t be surprised if an additional budding talent or two emerge for the Blue.
